Course Overview

This Level 3 Epilation course has been designed to develop your skills as a Beauty Therapist to enable you to provide electrical epilation treatments,

Based in Colchester Essex, this course allows you to gain a nationally recognised qualification. The course consists of one day a week in academy for practical training for 4 weeks and home case study work and portfolio building.

The course is perfect for those looking to further their career in Beauty and or level 4 courses, advanced beauty treatments and much more.

• Anatomy & Physiology relating to hair growth and treatment
• Short Wave diathermy current
• Galvanic Current
• Health and Safety
• Client Communication
• Needle Types
• Skin Diagnosis, Disorders & Diseases
• Skin Prep/Sterilisation
• Government Legislation

Entry Requirements
Level 2 Beauty Certification (or equivalent) & minimum age is 18

Duration

 4 Weeks, 1 Day per Week (usually a Monday)

Total online hours – 24 hours

Total practical hours – 24 hours

Total formative/summative assessment/exam hours in academy – 8 hours

Total Hours in the course – 96 hours

Course Structure

Prior Learning – Health and Safety, 8 Hours Online Learning

Week One – Portfolio set up/H&S/Promote products and services. 8 hours online learning, 1 day practical in academy 10am-5pm

Week Two – Electrical Epilation. 8 hours online learning, 1 day practical in academy 10am-5pm, 5/6 formative assessments. 

Week Three – Electrical Epilation. 1 day practical in academy 10am-5pm, 6 summative assessments and 1 exam.

Week Four – Exam resit day/outstanding summative assessments 10am-5pm

Dress Code

To meet Industry standards a professional beauty uniform must be worn. Jewellery must be removed, hair tied up, nails must be short and tidy and all shoes must be closed toe.

Models

Models are required for practice treatments during the course and end assessments.

Course Cost

£810 including VAT and registration fee.

25% deposit required on enrolment and then instalment plans are available.
